Healthy eating starts with a trip to the grocery store and then continues to the kitchen. Research shows that people who menu plan and prepare their own meals not only eat a more nutritious diet but also save a lot of money. But many people find planning meals and then preparing healthy foods a daunting task. I can help you master this by offering the following services:
Performance Nutrition
Whether you are a professional athlete or weekend warrior, nutrition plays a vital role in performing your best and achieving fitness goals. Through the following services Matthew can help you keep up the pace.
Basic Nutrition Consultation Package
Fee: $175.00
This option includes:
One initial consultation to assess concerns, goals, and the path forward. This can be provided in person (in the Waterloo, Ontario area only) or via phone, video conference, or email - your choice. Prior to this session, clients will be provided with a health history form and food log to complete which will allow me to develop a personalized nutrition plan for you.
A detailed eating plan and nutrition recommendation report that is designed to help you meet your individual diet and health goals.
A follow-up session to address progress and make any necessary adjustments to the eating plan. This typically occurs 2 to 4 weeks after the new eating plan has been initiated. Follow ups are an opportunity to ask questions, make tweaks to the nutrition plan as needed, set new goals and feel supported. Clients are encouraged to continue to keep a food log which will aid in the overall assessment.
Additional follow-up sessions can be arranged for $50 per session.
Advanced Nutrition Guidance Package
Fee: $375
This option includes everything in the basic package as well as six bi-weekly nutrition consultations. This is the best option if you want to benefit from continued nutrition support, motivation and greater accountability. During your follow ups, Matthew will review your food diary, discuss strategies to overcome obstacles/challenges and establish any new goals.
Menu Planning Package
Fee: $200 Per Month
This option includes:
Assessment of your food likes and dislikes.
A calendar that includes a month worth of meals and snacks based on your individual dietary needs and food preferences.
A weekly shopping list that includes all the items you need to succeed at the grocery store and in the kitchen.
Recipes for meals and snacks that make it easy to adhere to your menu plan. These recipes can be geared towards any dietary preferences such as vegetarian, Paleo or eating for sport performance. Athletes can also be supplied recipes for homemade fuel to help power their activity.
